Volunteer Opportunities
The 4-H youth development movement began more than 100 years ago as a rural youth program. As our nation’s economic and demographic profiles become more diverse, 4-H adapts and expands to meet the needs of all youth.
In Harris County we are reaching out to youth in urban areas using non-traditional methods by developing 4-H clubs in schools, after-school programs and community settings.
We’re looking for volunteers to help carry out the Texas AgriLife Extension Service’s mission of educating people. We educate youth through school curriculum, after-school programs, leadership training, community service projects and 4-H club work.
